We believe strongly in the role of research and analysis.  Risks should not be taken blindly.  Methodical analysis is a necessary ingredient of innovation and success.

Yet….

We also believe in the strengths embodied in imagination, goals, and determination.  We will not oversell a reliance on research when other factors must be depended upon.

“If diligence, persistence, and commitment are lacking, talent, ingenuity, and knowledge are of no avail.”  (Peter F. Drucker, The Discipline of Innovation.)

“...Leaders have an abiding passion for the product itself…and are as driven by their emotions as they are by a business plan.”  (M. Silverstein and N. Fiske, the Boston Consulting Group, Trading Up, The New American Luxury)

“Profitable survival requires an edge derived from some combination of a creative idea and a superior capacity for execution…All ventures merit some analysis and planning…Compared to the typical corporate practice, however, the entrepreneurial approach is more economical and timely.”  (Amar Bhide, Harvard Business School, How Entrepreneurs Craft Strategies That Work, Harvard Business Review, March-April 1994).
